Pomona

Before you log your first spray, set up your farm structure. Tap Setup in the bottom nav to add farms, blocks, and products.

• Farms & Blocks: Setup → Farms. Add each block with its acreage so the app can calculate product amounts automatically.
• Products: Setup → Products. Enter the products you spray, including the label REI and PHI — Pomona tracks these for you after that.
• Equipment: Setup → Equipment. Add your sprayer so it appears in spray logs and calibration records.

Tap + New in the bottom nav, then choose Spray Application. Fill in the date, applicator, blocks, and products — then tap Save.

• Multiple blocks: Select several blocks at once. The app applies the same products to all selected blocks in one log entry.
• Rate & volume: Enter your tank volume and GPA and Pomona calculates the amount applied per block automatically.
• Editing a log: Tap any entry in the Log tab to open it for editing. REI and PHI countdowns update instantly.

Tap + New → IPM Scouting. Select the pest, enter your count, and choose your scouting method — the action threshold appears automatically.

• Threshold guidance: Pomona shows the standard action threshold for each pest and flags your count if it exceeds it.
• Growth stage: Record the crop growth stage alongside your count for a complete scouting history.
• Scouting history: Past IPM records appear in the Log tab alongside spray records in one timeline.

Set up your traps under Setup → Traps, then log weekly catches and lure changes from the + New menu.

• Adding traps: Give each trap a name and location. Assign the target pest so Pomona knows which thresholds to compare against.
• Logging catches: Enter the insect count each time you check. Pomona tracks cumulative catch and flags when counts spike.
• Lure changes: Record lure replacement dates so you always know how old the lure is.

Go to Tools → Mix Calculator. Enter your tank size and GPA, then add each product. The calculator shows exactly how much of each product to measure out.

• Tank size: Enter your actual usable capacity — leaving a little headroom prevents overflow when mixing.
• Adding products: Pick from your product list or enter a rate manually. The calculator handles partial tanks automatically.
• Save to log: Tap Save to create a spray log entry pre-filled with those products and rates.

Go to Tools → Calibration and choose your sprayer type. The step-by-step wizard walks you through a timed collection test and calculates your actual GPA output.

• Airblast: Collect output from nozzles over a set time — the wizard calculates GPA based on your speed and row spacing.
• Boom: Enter nozzle spacing and collected volume. The wizard converts to GPA so you can compare against your target rate.
• Records saved automatically: Every calibration is stored and exportable from More → Reports → Calibration Records.

Tap More → Reports, choose a date range, and download a Full Report or WPS Posting sheet — both formatted for inspectors and auditors.

• Full Report: Every spray log in the date range — date, applicator, block, products, rates, REI, and PHI.
• WPS Posting: A streamlined sheet with product name, active ingredient, REI, and PHI — designed to post at field entry points.
• Date shortcuts: Use the preset buttons (Today, This Year, Last 30 Days, All Records) to set the range quickly.

REI (Restricted Entry Interval) is how long workers must stay out of a treated field after spraying. PHI (Pre-Harvest Interval) is the minimum days between the last spray and harvest. Both are on the product label and legally required.

• Automatic tracking: Once you enter REI and PHI for a product in Setup, Pomona calculates the exact re-entry and safe-to-harvest date every time you log a spray.
• REI countdown: The Log tab shows a countdown for any block still within its REI so you know which fields workers should avoid.
• PHI alert: If a block's PHI hasn't elapsed as harvest approaches, Pomona flags it so you don't harvest too early.
